Purpose: To determine why Venus is so hot

Result: The temperature inside the closed jar is higher than the outside of the jar.

Why: Much of the sunlight(light bulb) that reaches the surface of the planet(the bottom of the jar) is absorbed, thus heating the planet(the jar)
