Winter Wednesday - Winter Weeds

I was hard pressed to find dead winter weeds. My husband is so diligent at keeping the property cleaned up that it is practically devoid of anything dead, but I did find some dead Yellow Star Thistle (centaurea solstitialis) from last year.
I did though, find several green weeds that are wintering over. One of which I think is the Common Wild Radish - (raphanus sativus)
Another might be common grounsel-senecio vulgaris. It is pictured here with something I have always called screw grass. I call it that because after the purple little flowers go to seed and the seed pods burst, the seed pod break out in fours and quickly corkscrew. I have found several starting to burrow into my dogs paws.
I also found a weed that I have always called Indian tobacco, but when I googled it the picture I found did not match. I tried searching several sites to find what it was, but had not luck.
If anyone knows I would love to learn what it is really called.

  1. Star Thistle...we had to hand pull it from our property to get rid of it.

I think the second photo is wild radish...we have it blooming in many places around our neighborhood.
